Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement
Spent a night as a solo traveler. The room, a Standard Double, offered basic amenities but lacked comfort due to noise from a nearby outdoor area. The on-site restaurant served decent food, but be prepared for limited breakfast options. Consider requesting a quieter room if you're sensitive to noise.

The lovely big room with three beds was a real bonus, and I can't get over how clean everything was. The shower and bath combo was just perfect for unwinding after a long day! I enjoyed relaxing in the cozy sun terrace and the peaceful garden area, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The only downside was that the bathroom could have used a bit more space, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience! 😊

The standard twin room was clean and cozy, perfect for a family. We particularly enjoyed the bar's lively ambiance and indulged in some great local drinks. My dad and I had a blast exploring the nearby attractions, making it a trip to remember.
My kids wished there were more family-friendly dining options nearby.

Target audience family with children
The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere in the sports bar was very good and the beds were very comfy which is crucial for a family after a long day and there was a great selection of food that was not just your standard fare.
It wasn't exactly cheap but for what we got it was still acceptable.

I stayed in a Standard Double Room and it was pretty snug. The bed was nice and comfy, which is always a plus. There was plenty of hot water, and the heating worked great, too. The room had a nice view and even a window that opened—so refreshing! Tea and coffee options were handy. A bit of a mixed bag overall, but clean and decent enough for the night.

Parking is free, which is a big plus, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and bright, with a comfortable bed and nice bathroom. the breakfast options were lacking, especially for vegetarians, and there were no traditional Aberdeen butteries available. Despite some drawbacks, the overall experience was positive, with good service and a pleasant atmosphere.

Lively sports bar atmosphere, unique food specials, comfortable common area
The heating control needs an upgrade!!! Inconsistent ventilation and confusion trying to enter without the access code were frustrating experiences.

The bar area offers a lively atmosphere with a selection of unique food specials. Proximity to public transport makes it convenient for getting around and exploring nearby attractions.
Room temperature control is a challenge. some folks may find it sweltering without air conditioning, especially during sunny days. The bathroom cleanliness did not meet expectations, with some encountering mold at the entrance of the shower. Limited parking spaces make it tough to find a spot during busier times, adding a bit more hassle to your stay.

I enjoyed the character of the Great Western. The staff were genuinely friendly and made me feel welcomed throughout my stay. The room was clean, with a lovely shower, although the mattress left something to be desired—it felt a bit uncomfortable. Breakfast options were quite limited during the week, but the weekend breakfast was freshly cooked and definitely worth it. The location was a short walk from the city center, but the parking situation was a bit cramped with only a few spaces available. I appreciated the nice bar area, which had a fun, community feel and had a decent menu for dinner. the check-in process took longer than I expected since no one was present at the front desk initially. The bathroom lacked an extractor fan, leading to some steam issues after showering.
